Privacy statement
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This statement explains which personal data ISFA Bouw Materialen processes through this website, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
ISFA Bouw Materialen, Strickledeweg 65, 3125 AT Schiedam, Netherlands, is responsible for the personal data processed through this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to info@isfa-bm.com.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, and if you wish your company name and phone number. We use them to answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions from customers and prospective customers.
- Quote requests: the same details plus the products and quantities in your cart. We use them to prepare and send you a quotation. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Abuse protection: your IP address, to limit how many forms can be sent from one connection. It is kept for at most 10 minutes and is not linked to your message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the forms free of spam.
- Visitor statistics: we count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and does not identify you; your IP address is only used in hashed form to tell visits apart for one day. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website.
Cookies and storage on your device
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The website stores two things on your device: the contents of your cart (local storage), so it is still there when you come back, and your language choice (the cookie NEXT_LOCALE, for one year). Both are needed for features you use yourself, so no consent is required.
Who receives your data
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores the emails sent from the forms.
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website and provides the visitor statistics.
These providers process data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Transfers outside the EU
Vercel is based in the United States. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we only work with providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Contact messages and quote requests that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.
- Quote requests that lead to an order: 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires us to keep our records that long.
- IP addresses for abuse protection: at most 10 minutes.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict its use, or to transfer it to you or another party in a common format. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Email info@isfa-bm.com; we reply within one month. We may first ask you to confirm your identity. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please let us know. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Security
Forms are sent over an encrypted connection, and the emails leave our server encrypted as well. Our logs record that a message was sent, never its content or your contact details.
Changes
We may update this statement when our website changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
